California Poppies

I bought these oil pastels about two or three years ago. I never really played with them or use them seriously until today. My husband cut MDF board for me to paint so this seemed a perfect substrate for oil pastel painting. I like to tap and dig into the board with my pastels and this surface wont give like canvas. Poppies are one of my favorite flower subjects.
