Plein Aire at Waterworks Park

My Plein aire class went to Waterworks Park KCMO.  The park is in the beautiful Kansas City Northland and situated at the top of a hill that overlooks the Kansas City skyline.  The park is beautiful and scenic so there was no problem finding a good focal point for our paintings.  The day was cold and windy.

I setup my easel and paints and had to catch them as they were lifted in the air and slammed to the ground.  I had to pick leaves out of my wet painting.  What fun!  No really it was fun!  Waterworks park was very active with people setting up to picnic and there were groups of people playing disc golf as we painted away.  I put a couple of the players in my painting.

This was our last Plein Aire outing for this season.  I can’t wait to sign up for this class again in the Spring or Fall next year!
